

![]() The inclusive Portes du Soleil Ski Pass covers the well-known villages of Champery, Champoussin, Les Crosets, Morgins, Les Gets, Montriond, Avoriaz, Morzine, La Chapelle d'Abondance, Châtel and Torgon enabling skiers to criss-cross all day between France and Switzerland. This single municipality also includes Le Crosets and Champoussin. Val d'Illiez (part of Le Valais) is widely reputed for an exceptionally varied fauna and flora, although its fame is not limited to its natural wonders. The village also offers a wide range of activities, from the 100km of marked pedestrian and mountain biking trails to the two tennis courts (lit until 10:00 pm nightly) not to mention the thermal baths and the Via Ferrata climbing course. The baths at the Thermes Parc, offer a pool (32° C), a hot-water river (27° C), a lake and a traditional-style restaurant, in addition to a spectacular natural setting. ![]() Hotel du Repos is minutes from Champery where you catch the telecabine directly into the heart of the largest ski area in Europe. Reaching Champery is quick and easy via our local bus or train service, both directly opposite the hotel. This service is free when ski passes are brought from the Val D'Illiez Tourist Office, also moments from the hotel. |
Take the left exit out of the airport following signs to Lausanne. Stay Left. Join the motorway E62. Stay on this for approx 50km. Motorways split but keep following signs for E62 towards Simplon and Grand St Bernard. Once you have passed Lake Geneva (Lac Leman) and the Pass Le Chablais rest stop and petrol station, you come off at Junction 18 signposted for Portes Du Soleil / Val D’Illiez / St Triphon. Follow signs for Monthey turn right at T junction towards Monthey and Portes Du Soleil. Cross over the bridge at roundabout follow signs for Champery / Val D’Illiez (3rd exit) then continue following signs until you start climbing. Pass through the villages of Trois Torrents and you’ll then arrive in Val D’Illiez. Noticeable by the beautiful old white church on your left. Take the 1st exit at the small roundabout and you’ll have arrived at Hotel du Repos. Taking the Train: Take train from Geneva to Aigle (direction Lausanne) which runs regularly. Ask at Information desk when the next train departs. We can arrange to collect you from Aigle* (20 mins from the hotel). Alternatively you can change at Aigle and get the AOMC to Champery which stops at Val d’Illiez. The train station is directly opposite Hotel du Repos. * additional costs apply.
